Víctor Manuel Ramos is a bilingual writer and journalist. A native of the Dominican Republic who came of age in New York City, his narrative embodies a multiplicity of voices and characters whose lives unfold in Caribbean and American landscapes. He won in 2010 the first literary award from the Academia Norte­americana de la Lengua Española (North American Academy of Spanish Language) for his novel La vida pasajera. He’s published short stories in English and Spanish, including in Apogee Journal, The Island Review, VoCeS: Cuadernos de Literatura and Hiedra Magazine. He lives on Long Island, New York.
